Orthodontic treatment

Braces and clear aligners for teenagers, adults and restorative planning.

Orthodontics can improve tooth alignment, bite relationships, cleaning access and the space available for future restorations. At Artizen Dental, treatment may be provided independently or as one stage of a broader full-mouth rehabilitation.

Understanding the treatment

Moving teeth with the final function in mind.

An orthodontic assessment considers more than whether teeth look straight. We study crowding, spacing, jaw relationships, gum health, tooth wear and how the upper and lower teeth meet.

We offer fixed braces and clear aligner treatment, including Angel Aligner. The most suitable approach depends on the complexity of movement, compliance, periodontal condition, lifestyle and treatment goals.

Adult orthodontics can also create space, upright tilted teeth or improve tooth position before implants, crowns, bridges or full-mouth rehabilitation.

Why it may help

Better alignment can support both appearance and function.

01

Improve alignment

Correct crowding, spacing and rotated teeth to create a more harmonious dental arch.

02

Refine the bite

Guide tooth positions so the upper and lower teeth meet more evenly where clinically achievable.

03

Support oral hygiene

Better alignment may make some areas easier to brush and floss, although excellent cleaning remains essential during treatment.

04

Prepare for restoration

Move teeth into more favourable positions before implants, veneers, crowns or full-mouth rehabilitation.

Suitability

Which option may suit you?

Both fixed braces and clear aligners can be effective; case selection and consistent follow-up matter more than choosing by appearance alone.

Common indications

  • Crowded, rotated or spaced teeth
  • Protruding teeth or an uneven smile line
  • Selected overbite, underbite, crossbite or open-bite problems
  • Adult patients who postponed earlier orthodontic treatment
  • Tooth movement before implants or restorative dentistry
  • Relapse after previous braces

Braces or Angel Aligner?

  • Fixed braces work continuously and do not depend on remembering to wear trays
  • Clear aligners are removable for meals and cleaning
  • Aligners require disciplined daily wear
  • Some complex movements may be more predictable with fixed appliances or a combined approach
  • Attachments, elastics or refinements may still be needed with aligners
  • Retention is required after either treatment

What to expect

A plan built from records, biology and realistic goals.

  1. 01

    Assessment and records

Examination, photographs, digital scans and relevant X-rays help us study the teeth, roots, bite and supporting tissues.

  2. 02

    Discuss the plan

We explain the intended movements, appliance options, limitations, estimated duration and fees.

  3. 03

    Active treatment

Braces are adjusted periodically or aligner stages are reviewed to confirm that movement is tracking as planned.

  4. 04

    Coordinate restorative care

Where orthodontics supports full-mouth rehabilitation, tooth position is reviewed together with the final restorative plan.

  5. 05

    Retention

Retainers help hold the teeth after active movement. Long-term wear is usually required to reduce relapse.

Personalised dental care

Start with an assessment—not an assumption.

Treatment time and achievable movement vary with anatomy, age, gum health, appliance choice and cooperation. A full orthodontic assessment is required before advice can be personalised.
